Kumamoto Earthquake Relief – Community Update
On July 28, 2026, a powerful earthquake struck Kumamoto Prefecture, reaching Japan’s highest seismic intensity of 7. The disaster caused severe damage to homes and buildings, disrupted essential services, and left thousands of people displaced. As of August 17, 39 people had lost their lives, while many others were injured or remained in evacuation facilities.

In response to this tragedy, Tokyo Nishikasai Masjid organized an emergency collection to support those affected.
Alhamdulillah, through the generosity of our community, a total of ¥176,561 was collected and successfully transferred to support the earthquake victims.
We sincerely thank everyone who contributed to this humanitarian effort. May Allah accept your sadaqah, reward you abundantly, and grant strength, healing, and relief to all those affected by this disaster.
