The Story of Tokyo Nishikasai Masjid (Old Nishikasai Musalla)
Discover the heart of our community.

How It Started
In 2007, a small group of Muslim brothers began building this community. They started with Ramadan Taraweeh prayers. At that time, they did not have their own place, but they gathered wherever they could. Their goal was to create a good space for prayer and to connect with other Muslims in the Nishikasai area.
Hard Times in 2011
In 2011, a big earthquake hit Japan. Many Muslim brothers and their families became scared and returned to their home countries. Because of this, the small community became very weak and almost stopped.
Coming Back in 2014
In 2014, some brothers who stayed in Japan decided to restart. They began holding prayers from time to time in a community hall. They also organized Eid prayers and gatherings. These small events brought hope back to the community.
A New Beginning in 2015
In 2015, the brothers took an important step. They rented a small space and started the Nishikasai Musalla again. It was simple and small, but it was their own place. Slowly, more people started coming for prayers and Quran classes.
Today
From that small rented room, the place has grown into Tokyo Nishikasai Masjid. This was possible because of the dedication of the brothers and sisters in the community and the support from kind hearts around the world. With Allah’s Grace, the Tokyo Nishikasai Masjid was completed on time. This is It is now the first masjid in the Edogawa area. Many Muslims come here every day to pray, learn, and meet as brothers and sisters.
This masjid is not just a building. It is a story of patience, hard work, and strong faith. Even after difficult times, the community did not give up.
May Allah bless everyone who helped to build this masjid and make it a place of peace and guidance for many years. Ameen. 🕌
